M.C. Beam was one of the many Master Distillers of the Beam family in Kentucky, the authority of the bourbon industry. His specialty was straight rye whiskey, which was discontinued during Prohibition and remained as unfinished chapter in the 200-year history of the Beam family.
Had master distiller Minor Case Beam (M.C. Beam) not been stifled by Prohibition, his straight rye whiskey would taste a lot like this mature elixir bottle. It is aged in cream sherry casks for an unforgettable flavor. As per the original Beam family’s mash bill it is made with 51% rye and stored for two years in new white oak barrels charred inside. It is then aged for six months in cream sherry cask.
Out experts say:
Smooth and delicate with complex layers of nuances on the palate.
Balanced and mellow, subtle flavours and alcohol well integrated by cream sherry cask finish.
Profile of this whiskey breaks the mold of the traditional image of spicy rye whiskey.
Enjoy the heavy and classic bottle. This is a rye whiskey to be savored and enjoyed on special occasions.
