Our story begins with the fertile soils and mild oceanic climate of Southern Ireland, recognised as one of the best places in the world to grow malted barley.

Named for the Celtic Queen of Winter, Kalak (“An Cailleach” in Irish), is a true expression of Ireland’s terroir. It is our land, her weather and her people’s ancient craft in a bottle.

Kalak is meticulously crafted from the best of Irish malted barley, and pure mountain water. Four times copper pot distilled in West Cork, it is pure, smooth and intriguingly complex.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Notes of freshly baked croissants, cream, vanilla & fruity freshness.

Palate: Elegant texture with hints of biscuit, dark chocolate, creaminess and ripe fruit richness.

Finish: Silky smooth with lingering warmth & complexity.

Serving Suggestions

Kalak is ideally enjoyed neat, or in a tumbler with an ice cube, cinnamon stick and lemon zest. It’s style and taste adapt perfectly to ‘martini’ style cocktails, or high balls.
